We should “destroy family values” of the x-tian right if it’s cheating on your spouse, divorce, killing abortion doctors, Crusades, violation of church and state separation, indoctrination, proselytizing, anti science, misogyny, homophobia, prayer before city council meetings, book banning, faith healing etc etc etc….

We can do so much more, though – our new Wednesday night, Friday night lock-in and Sunday morning Science indoctrination and emotionless relationship-building seminars (including The Joy of Sexual Irresponsibility and pro-abortion sign painting) will keep our youth from praying in groups where the stoners hang out or thinking about how to make the world a better place. They can also form ISA groups (Immoral Student Athletes) in school.

going against my better judgment I asked a Jehovah’s witness co-worker today why an omnipotent being, that can create anything, destroy anything, see the future etc. GET ANGRY?, an entirely HUMAN emotion??? He responded, ‘we were made in His image’ to which I said, but if you knew the future what could possibly ANGER you? If you were an omnipotent being there would be no ‘choices’ and there would be no challenges and of course no human emotions.
We tend to get caught into this idea that “God” is a human with unlimited power…it is incredibly freeing when you realize how absurd this is.
I talked to Atheist Eve’s author about her linking policy, and she’s cool with links, so long as you point out that the original is at http://www.atheist-community.org/atheisteve/?id=64, and the author wants you to look around the ACA’s website while you’re looking at it :)

I know it may not be up to par with the pop-up books and episodes of Dragon Tales that normally occupy your time, but if you’d just read it(I understand that you’ll probably have to sound out most of the words, but don’t get discouraged) I’m sure you’d find just how hilarious it is.
