This is a song by ApologetiX, a Christian Weird Al wanna-be band. “Bone Digger” is a parody of Kanye West’s “Gold Digger”… though I think it parodies itself more, if such a thing is possible.
A reasonable blog on atheism, religion, science and skepticism

It’s the “no evidence” part that really gets me. Do they not understand that it’s been proven that species evolve?
They don’t understand what evolution is. They are correct that there’s no evidence for a dog ever having had kittens.
It’s not really the stubborn refusal to believe research conclusions that bothers me. It’s that they expect irrefutable _scientific_ evidence for evolution while at the same time proposing a replacement based solely on faith. Were we to hold the Bible to the same standards as they wish to hold the theory of evolution, then nobody would have faith in that. It’s odd. Evolution isn’t as well-defined and understood as, say, gravity, but at the same time I have trouble looking at a natural process and saying “I don’t understand it so it must be magic.”
Why do we need to make fun of them when they do it so well themselves!? Hilarious!
Ow my ears. You’ve been posting such horrible music as of late, Mr. Daniel. The fact that I know there are people who 100% believe this and think WE’RE the idiots, bothers me to no end.
I find it amusing and somewhat frustrating that this song basically declares the ‘debate’ over. I seem to come across this sentiment more frequently now, regarding both evolution and climate change (which creationists often conflate), that the science is in and the scientists lost. They’re basically pulling the shutters down, an inevitable result when they knew what choice they would make regardless of what reality hits them over the head with. And why not? They believe that if they even think for a second evolution might be true, if they give it genuine consideration, that’s a lack of faith, and the faithless burn in the lake of fire for all eternity. So this is just another example of religion using fear to crush any honest attempt at gaining knowledge.
I find it hypocritical that they say “if you want to believe in evolution, you have to have faith.” as if they think that is a bad thing. Don’t they base their whole thing on the notion that “faith is a virtue.” Shouldn’t they then accept our belief and tout it as just as true as theirs, because we believe by faith.
It’s so stupid.
Yeah, same goes for their referring to someone with a darwin fish on their care having evolution as “their religion” in a very condescending way. So… having faith and a religion are bad things, according to this Christian group?
And yeah, those lyrics reflect some major science education FAIL.
They (as I used to) see belief in the theory of evolution as something that’s faith based. Just another (but obviously wrong) sort of religion. Because there’s no proof – because it’s a theory – to accept it, you must have faith. They don’t know the meanings of the words they (ab)use.
As for science education fail, being Christians the strength of the holy spirit helps them to filter out the obviously wrong parts of what they hear in class, so they only get stronger in what they already “know”.
Sadly, it takes a lot to get through those barriers – especially when they’re being strengthened every day at home and in their churches.
Holy hell, that was painful. Weird Al is actually a really talented musician and lyricist and can roll with pretty much any genre. These guys… are not.
I need to go listen to some real Kanye to scrub that memory from my brain.
Whose mama was a fish?
Vardaman’s. That’s whose.
Hey evolutionistas, I got a “bone” you can study.
Whip the little fella out.
I’ll bet you named it.
Lemme guess, Half-Inch Worm?
Alright USA, it’s time to redouble the funding for science in our schools. Obviously, the message is not quite sinking in….
“…We know it’s hocus pocus…” Wasn’t that covered a few posts back? (Here, if I can get the link to work: http://unreasonablefaith.com/2010/02/28/thats-what-its-all-about/#comments)
But I quite liked the lyrics – even though they were about stupid.
The gentleman who posted the video is admittedly deleting any negative or counter-arguments to his video. Can we all just take a moment and post a comment on the video to keep him busy???

That people like this refuse to even read is … distressing.
