As the message of the song is to not bother wondering what Jesus would do because you couldn’t do it yourself and the whole message of Christianity – to try to emulate Jesus- is stupid, I’m guessing they’re not serious Christians.

Poes aside, that’s the deadly damage of christianity. Supposedly Jesus became human……………………. but not really! Bwaaaaahahahahaha! So other humans born of a zygote can’t ever be like him! It’s hopeless! Bwaaaaahahahahaha!
Now if he’d originally been an avatar or exemplary human being, and the saying that “any works I do, any of you have the possibility of doing” would be a gospel worth proclaiming. But then people might aspire to being whole human beings and couldn’t be easily controlled. No need for church or manipulation-by-hell-scare or anything to be “saved” from, either.

This was intended as comedy. The guy introducing the clip is one Paul McDermitt (an Australian Comedian). I’m guessing the clip was from a show called ‘Good News Week’ but I could be wrong.
