  1. Baconsbud says:

Well at least in Vermont they are being truthful about what it means to be a Catholic priest.

  2. Nox says:

And the line between obvious poe and papal bull shrinks just a little bit more.

  3. UrsaMinor says:

I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry at this one.

  4. Sunny Day says:

The caption reads: “Have you seen this man? Please call 1800-crimestoppers.

  5. michael says:

It looks like……it couldn’t be…….oh…no! Imagine, not doing it behind the altar but out in the open! Shameful…..disgusting….appalling……! I wonder if they charge admission…..might be fun to watch(dirty mind?….yup). Silly me….of course they charge admission…..what church doesn’t!

  6. Mike says:

LOL! Hilarious! (and sad at the same time.)

  7. ati says:

actually, a bishop ordains a deacon to priesthood

    • Custador says:

Sort of like “Welcome to the Paedo club, now let me show you what you’re gonna make all them alter boys do…” *zzzzzzzip* *flop* *schlurpschlurpgobblegobblesccccchhhhluuuurp*

There are an uncountable number of Catholic publications showing someone kneeling in front of a priest. Keep sniggering, and eventually they’ll figure out that they have to shoot the pose from the side. Personally, I find kneeling a bit creepy under any circumstances.

  9. Brian says:

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!

  10. Igor says:

Thank you, ati. C’mon UF…this is a cheap shot, and unworthy of the allegedly higher-minded mores of this blog. I’m not defending the Catholic Church’s unfortunate track record in these matters, but sheesh…this entry is too sophomoric…this sunmission and following comments smack of Beavis and Butthead…c’mon, guys…we’re better than this.

    • Nox says:

I might call it sophomoric if someone doctored this photo to make fun of the catholic church. The fact that the church itself decided to use this picture is an important part of the joke.

    • Ty says:

What makes you think the blog is required to be ‘higher minded’?

Daniel regularly re-posts things from web comics and the Onion. I think this is in that same vein.

    • Daniel Florien says:

It’s humorous. If you’re not into humor, skip it. :)

      • Jabster says:

Well I think you need to at least a sort of humour rating and preferably some sort of confirmation box before viewing humorous posts … maybe a message that says “Likely to cause offence to the high minded. Please click ok to confirm that you wish to view this content”?

This would differently aid the useabilty of the site but any suggestions for the different ratings is most welcome ….

    • michael says:

You may not say this if you caught a priest giving a young male parishoner a special “blessing’ behind the altar! It is after all extremely rare to hear of sexual abuses, done by the Catholic “men of god”, in the news these days! They’re just too perfect to give into sexual desire! Over the last 1,700 years, they have an unblemished record of caring for their flocks and those around them that didn’t follow doctrine! Praise to the Saints: Beavis and Butthead!

  11. michael says:

In the picture above the altar, isn’t that Jesus and his all male fan club doing something behind the altar?
