Stigmata?

A man with the name “Jesus” etched into his arm.

Jesus loves you, but sometimes, he worries …

… but surely everyone has to respect his relgious beliefs?

  2. More like lunacy.

  3. Custador says:

*facepalm* Even speaking as a person who respects tattoos, piercings, scarification and body mods in general, that is just retarded.

    • LRA says:

but Custador! When *he* facepalms he won’t have to yell “JESUS!!!” anymore… it’ll just be written right there on his arm.

      :P

      • Sunny Ng says:

        Provided he’s left-handed.

        • Yoav says:

But we all know that left-handedness is the sign of the devil.

          • michael says:

That’s a sinistra thing to say.

          • Heather says:

First of all..Being left handed is not a sign of the devil..i just think its wrong to judge a person because of the hand they write with..and i also think its wrong to judge a person because of self mutilation..some people carve mens name on thier body but this man put Jesus on him..He loves the Lord I am assuming..so just stop writing all this negative stuff..treat people the way u want to b treated is what i usially say..

  4. busterggi says:

Of course he did this incorrectly – when he holds his arm naturally the writing will be upside down.

  5. nazani14 says:

    Prison?
Uh, I thought flaying would be more like what happened to Zoroaster.

Anyway, while using the TinEye app to see if I could find the provenance of this photo, I came across this site: http://spiritwaterblood.com
I had not heard of the brand of racism known as “kinism” before. The site is doubly scary because the person running it actually seems to be educated.

  6. James G says:

Actually, “Jesus!” was pretty much my response when I saw what he’d done to his arm.

    • michael says:

Now if he were to continue and complete the phrase “jesus saves” on his upper arm, he’ll be able to proselitize, walking around town with his arm up in the air. Sadly, some will also be exposed to his BO. What a way to tell others of jesus.

  7. Rev PJ says:

Three things ran through my head when I say that:
    1) That had to have hurt a lot.
    2) When that gets infected, it won’t look nearly as pretty.
    3) Did he do it himself? Curved letters would probably look better, and I don’t think Betty Bowers would approve of ugly scarification.

  8. Elanor says:

    Oh my god, WHY?!

  9. michael says:

Notice it is in English and not maybe Hebrew? Does that mean that god speaks English? The only time anyone will see this is when he gives somebody “the” finger. How aprropriate! His painting needs something to desire as it would appear he got some “jesus” paint on his face’

  10. JT says:

I guess it would show if he were praying, but then it’s more overkill than it already is.

Seriously, dude, isn’t that an example of taking the Lord’s name in vain? Maybe?

And this is why religion doesn’t work — it’s all so grey but people aren’t willing to accept that that’s because it came from human opinion in the first place.

  11. michael says:

Let’s just be fortunate that he didn’t do this on his ass!

  12. Baconsbud says:

Why is anyone even wasting the time to comment on this? Is it to feel superior to the guy or what?

    • DarkMatter says:

Why are you wasting time to comment on these comments? Is it to feel superior or what?

      • Baconsbud says:

Actually it seems most of these comments on this post are about feeling superior. I saw the picture and thought damn how stupid can people be. I am actually asking why people are commenting because I really want to know why they are. It helps me to better understand others. I study people and their reactions to different situations. Yeah I am a bit nosy but usually stay in the back ground.

        • Sunny Day says:

Well when I see a post just begging for a response, I do.

        • nazani14 says:

It’s an outburst. If you saw this guy in real life it would be incredible hard not to blurt out something.

        • CoffeeJedi says:

But then why do people talk about anything ever?

If I saw this guy walk into a party, I’d nudge the people around me and whisper “What’s up with THAT guy?” It’s the exact same thing, just on the internet.

Why discuss politics, movies, sports, vacation destinations, food? This person is obviously a topic of interest, outside the norm. Why WOULDN’T we talk about him?

        • CoffeeJedi says:

Oh, also “I study people and their reactions to different situations.” makes you sound like a bit of an arrogant standoffish jerk.
“Oh yes… I’m a student of humanity. I have no faults of my own of course, but… other, intellectually inferior people are rather interesting…… like rats in a cage if you will”

          • Baconsbud says:

Sounds like you read a lot into what I do. I enjoy observing and no I’m not standoffish. I just tend to try and avoid making the same comments that have already been made by the time I read post here. If I would have felt I needed to make a comment to this picture , it would have just been WTF.

            • DarkMatter says:

“I just tend to try and avoid making the same comments that have already been made by the time I read post here.”
              WTF.

  13. arrakis says:

Great…now he can use his arm as a cookie-cutter.

  14. WMDKitty says:

    O_O

    That… looks painful.

And given that it’s probably self-made, I’d suggest a psych eval, stat, as cutting on yourself is a Bad Thing, and a sign of psychological disturbance.

    • Francesc says:

Sometime in the future, believing in a sky-daddy who watch every movement you do will also be considered a sign of psychological disturbance.

  15. atheistical says:

    Who’s Jesus?

  16. VidLord says:

this post was simply to ridicule and laugh at the person depicted. i think it accomplished its goals.

  17. Agentsmith says:

I am so shocked by all of you Godless heathens!!!!

I thought all of you God haters love the gays. And in this picture, it is clearly a wholesome, misguided white dude being tricked into professing his homosexual feeling to his Hispanic male “friend” – Jesus..

All you unrepentent creatures of the night always have to turn everything into a God hatefest…

    • atheistical says:

How can we hate something or someone who doesn’t exist? What we hate to see is stupidity of the highest degree wrapped up in self delusion – this deserves to made fun of. Somebody once said “if religious people don’t like being made fun of – they should not believe in things which are irrational, funny and absurd”

      • John C says:

Of course it has nothing to do with ‘religion’ friend. Religion is an external behavior modification system or institution, is oppressive. And since it is merely external, it therefore carries with it no inward power to transform, to re-create in the original ‘likeness and image’ as we were in the beginning, the Genesis of (all) things. Christ, on the other hand is Love, is liberating and is a new nature, a new (kind and quality of) Life (His) in the here and now.

You’ve seen religion, you have not yet seen (known inwardly) Christ, not yet anyway. There is a VAST difference, in fact the ‘religious’ leaders were the very ones that Christ saved His harshest rebukes for, the hypocrisy and legalism being so burdensome, heavy.

        All the best.

        • Janet Greene says:

          Hi John C – Been a while!

Actually, we can transform ourselves, with work. There is no magic to it. We need to become self-aware, bring the sub-conscious to the surface, and work on having a positive attitude. Together with a healthy and balanced, goals and pursuit of our passions, we can impact on our brain chemicals so that life starts to work and we feel better – more at peace, capable of joy, etc. At least, this is my journey and those of many others who finally rejected “magic jesus” and started actually working on themselves.

      • Sunny Day says:

“What we hate to see is stupidity of the highest degree wrapped up in self delusion –”

Typical, someone mentions Delusion and John C replies.

    • Janet Greene says:

      Alas, guilty as charged.

    • CoffeeJedi says:

      ROFL

You win 100 internets good sir!

  18. Janet Greene says:

I never believed in stigmata before, but my god, this must be REAL.

  19. you are the most retardested person ever jesus will love you even without that…but your still a retard

  20. god will love you without that, that is just plain stupidity
