If you start from the premise that the Bible is literally the word of god, then the only honest interpretations you can come to are the same as those that have been reached by the WBC. The leaders of the WBC are clearly not stupid, as Fred Phelps and almost all of his children (and there are a lot of them) hold law degrees. The point is that these are intelligent people who have arrived at the only possible logical conclusions after having started from an erroneous position.

God hates…..is that the only message they have to offer? I can’t help but wonder why christians hate so much when their lord spoke of love and forgiveness. These nut cases obviously forgot to take their meds! The passage that so often comes to mind is: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same measure you judge others you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”(paraphrasing Jesus in Matthew 7:1-2). Why don’t these idiots obey what their lord said? Why does all of christendom ignore this simple rule? Hell sure is going to be crowded!
I know it’s morbid, but it always makes me giggle a little when one of these fundamentalist assholes dies because I’m pretty sure that all of one’s faculties, including the “mind” (quotes because we don’t exactly know what it is) cease to exist. There isn’t an afterlife, there isn’t a heaven nor a hell nor a xibalba nor anything else . . . What a sorry case one has built for one’s life, then!
