Going to the Supreme Court I hope.

    “Primary motivating factor”

No wonder these fucks are so worried about religion dieing. They’re immoral as shit, they only fear hell.

None of them would be doing this if it weren’t for their fucking bible. They’re all scum, every fucking one of them.

  3. Kate says:

A major victory for religious freedom? I guess it’s a major victory for those who love to state that non-believers don’t engage in charity… a self fulfilling prophesy as it were. The other part is that there is NO WAY that the government should be funding an agency which states that it is a religious organization primarily, not a charitable organization.

  4. Erin says:

$300 Million/ per year? This makes me sick! How dare our goverment allocate MY tax dollars to fund a religious organization, especailly a religious orginization that defies the constituation that our goverment has swore to uphold.

  5. stamati says:

I was thinking, “No big deal,” up until the point where they said this organization is federally funded. Anyone want to tell me how the judges missed that?

  6. Yossarian says:

thank you so much. i was just talking about this to a ‘christian’ the other day who stated that non-believers do not work for such organizations and those organizations would not fire non-believers anyways.

  7. David says:

They want all the advantages for themselves, while claiming that they are under attack. Classic case of projection and delusionality.

  8. japanther says:

I wasn’t mad until I heard the bit about $300 million from the US government goes to this organization every year. That’s just under a $1 per person. There are 30 million+ “No religious preference / atheist / agnostic / humanist etc..” in America paying some of this money (myself included.) I want my fucking dollar back.

    RAAAGE!

  9. doog says:

Fucking idiots! I notice they’re not fussy about taking money from non-xians….

  10. Klaus says:

It seems like a consensus among the commenters. Not really a problem with a religious organization requiring their employees to tag along. And no problem with the ruling of the court either.
However federal funding coming into the picture turns the situation quite dramatically. Either get that pulled – or you (the religious organization) can’t discriminate. Simple as that.
On top of that I don’t see the wisdom in having the government funding an explicit religious organization.

  11. idea1013 says:

SO just to be clear, they fired people doing good works just to do good works and kept those doing good works so they have a better chance to get into heaven?

    • Sunny Day says:

Remember if you don’t have an ulterior motive, your not doing Gawds Work.

    • Erin says:

I find it ironic that they won’t employ people to do gods work if they aren’t belivers. But they’ll take (tax) money from a non-believer, such as myself.

      • Danny wuvs kittens says:

Its because they don’t have to see you and your filthy ungodliness on a day to day basis.

I’m mad as hell that taxes are going to this fucking organization. Even if they stop discriminating, they’re spending a lot of their money on bibles and religious teaching. Africa is a hotspot for mission work because the people there are vulnerable. Give them a hot meal and they’ll believe whatever you say.

OUR GODDAMN TAX DOLLARS ARE GOING TO BUY BIBLES AND PAY FOR INDOCTRINATION CLASSES FOR VULNERABLE, STARVING CHILDREN IN AN ORGANIZATION THAT DISCRIMINATES BASED ON RELIGION WHEN THERE ARE SECULAR ORGANIZATIONS THAT SPEND 100% OF THEIR FUNDS OF FULFILLING ACTUAL NEEDS OF THE CHILDREN.

Fuck yes I’m using caps lock, and fuck yes I’m shouting.

I am utterly speechless. The injustice and stupidity here is beyond fathom. Fuck world vision.

  12. brgulker says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t all the editors/contributors to this blog atheists?

    • Custador says:

So what? We’re not employed by Daniel, we voluntarily contribute our time. Any theist can choose to do the same and have their article posted so long as the content is suitable to the blog.
