  1. This is truly pathetic… Laughable! lol
But then it drives you nuts!!!!

  2. Michael says:

She is impersonating a male black preacher. And she is damn good at it.

But that’s going to kill her voice sooner or later.

  3. Ash says:

That’s not a white woman preaching; that’s a black woman with vitiligo preaching.

  4. Len says:

She’d make a great rock singer.

  5. Brian says:

I’m amazed this woman has any credibility whatsoever. What is the appeal?

  6. mikespeir says:

She missed her calling. She should be on SNL.

  7. Bubbaj says:

21 seconds. That’s all I could do before my bullshit-o-meter overloaded.

  8. Javier says:

@Bubbaj: I only lasted 15 seconds. You are much stronger than I am.

  9. imominous says:

I don’t see how you can consider her a fraud, or impersonator. She’s right up there, blond as whitey and pink as ham.

Certainly she is not trying to fool the audience. She’s good, too. Close your eyes and hear the chocolate!

I’d like to see her and Eddy Murphy do a movie together.

  10. nazani14 says:

Exactly how much whiskey and cigarettes did she consume to achieve that vocal tone?

  11. Skippy says:

    What the—? I don’t even.

  12. objectifier says:

It kind of reminds me of Al Gore stumping for votes in southern black churches. He channelled his inner brother pretty well too.

  13. Igor says:

I attended one of these services once (not hers), for research and curiosity. These blood-and-thunder sermons (there were 3 over the course of 3 hours!) preceded the collection baskets being passed around, and the congregation was so whipped up, they couldn’t wait to throw the money in. It was a psychological tour de force.

This woman has the style, energy and bible BS down pat. Black or white, it’s a technique to fill the plate, nothing more. Politicians could learn a lot from this crap.

Bill Clinton sure did. I remember when he ran and showed up at black churches–he had the schtick down pat.

  14. Klaus says:

A note at the side. Would someone act and talk that way outside of a church – they sure would face being committed to the loony bin – or the least – asked to consult a psychiatrist.
Says a lot about religious communities in turn, doesn’t it?

  15. Riece Keck says:

    Not sure if serious…

  16. Togii says:

I was thinking surely this is a comedian who recorded herself preaching in front of a greenscreen and edited it into a video of black people watching an actual black preacher.. but apparently this is a real thing.
    I’m so confused.

  17. Kip says:

You can’t question the sanity and validity of the speaker, these hucksters are a dime a dozen and know very well what they are doing and seem to be very good at it. What one must question is the sanity and the gullibility of the audience. If these congregations will send their hard earned money to defrocked televangelisis in prison and Nigerian scam artists then there is little hope for them. They seem to be masochists at heart and somehow love being taken advantage of. They, like most christers I know would, rather put their faith in waiting for their god to solve their problems than to get up off their dead asses and do it themselves.

  18. dodi says:

The man in the audience with the shiny bald head should lead them in singing, “This Little Light of Mine.”
