Interview With "With You Always" Artist

Such encouragement!

It’s a shame people send him hate mail, though. That just feeds the delusion… plus it’s mean. I get a fair share myself and it’s pointless for the sender and receiver.

The 4channed versions of these are comedy gold, though.

I actually like his work. It’s awful that people are sending him hate mail though.

  4. nazani14 says:

    Snorks?
Who cuts out their hate mail and pastes it in a book? The only reason I can think of that he would do that is so he can whip his book out anywhere and show off to other fundies how persecuted he is.

  5. Custador says:

His version of Jesus seems a little… Caucasian.

  6. Chris A says:

Amazing that so much talent in this country is so detached from reality. They think there is a god who’s going to help them with everything – meanwhile the Chinese, Japanese, Europeans and a whole bunch of other countries are eating our lunch because they don’t have to waste their time on such total BS. They realize that they will have to work to achieve their goals instead of spending 10% of their income and wasting several hours of the week thinking that there is god helping them.

    Such a shame.

  7. Nat says:

I really think his drawings are weird, and a comedy gold mine for Photoshopping… or actually they need no Photoshopping. That being said though, there is nothing mean spirited about these drawings, so it is sad he gets hate mail.

He is a nice guy. Normally I like to point out all the gracious, caring things atheists say, and all the hateful things christians say, but this was the reverse. I was sorry to see the letter to him that was as bad as all the fundie spewings I see here. I like to make fun of his drawings, and have done so on this site. His drawings do make me feel a hint of gagging, but I wouldn’t make nasty comments to him. He isn’t out there spewing hostile (or really stupid) fundie stuff like some of the samples that come to this blog.

Once again, someone of faith chooses to paint only the pretty half of an ugly picture. His work is very nice, and very heart warming, but where is the truth in christian advertising? OK. So, Jesus is everywhere, huh. Let’s see the sketch of Northern Ireland, with Jesus standing behind a group of men trying to shoot and bomb each other, strictly because of religious differences. Where is the sketch of Jesus standing over the religious leader signing a bill making it illegal and punishable for a same-sex couple to commit their love to each other. How about a nice mural of Jesus watching some of his most faithful holding signs and protesting at George Carlin’s funeral (true story). I’m quite sure that God’s only son would have liked to be there in person to help torment the grieving family. Nothing says Christian values like protesting at a funeral!
I would personally put up a thousand dollars of my own money if this guy would sketch me a picture of Jesus standing over a priest whilst he is sodomizing an innocent child. After all, art is supposed to make you think, and every time I drive past a church, that’s what I’m thinking about.
Of course, Mr. inspirational pencil doesn’t want to talk or think about that stuff. After all, I’ll bet he’s SURE that his priest is good and pure, and that all the bad ones have been flushed out. right? Right? RIGHT??? Wrong.
I can guarantee that when it comes to the big picture – the WHOLE picture, this nice old gentleman does what all Christians (and ostriches) do. Stop being an artist with an agenda, Mr.sketch. Stop being a hypochristian!
