Televangelist Says He Cheated On Wife

Put on your shocked face! Televangelist cheats on wife! Can you believe it?!?

A televangelist admitted in front of a television audience that he cheated on his wife, an announcement he made to thwart people he said were trying to extort millions of dollars from him.

The Rev. Marcus Lamb made the confession Tuesday night on his show “Celebration” with his wife Joni Lamb by his side.

The couple also displayed a special message about the incident on the website of Daystar Television Network, the couple’s television network.

“At the top of the program, the Lambs shared a compelling, transparent account of a personal challenge in their marriage that occurred several years ago, involving an inappropriate relationship between Marcus and another woman,” the message said.

The couple explained that there were three people who said they would expose the affair if the couple’s ministry did not pay them $7.5 million.

Well, at least he had the guts to tell the truth rather than give in to the black mailers’ demands.

…or perhaps he felt the loss in revenue resulting from his confession would be less than $7,500,000. Or is that uncharitable of me?

      • Kodie says:

Not uncharitable at all, he was financially motivated – otherwise, why would he tell? To help people through similar struggles? We all know they blame women for tempting men anyway. Men can’t control their behavior around a woman dressed immodestly, I don’t think his congregation would withhold donations over something that wasn’t his fault. Really no-brainer here. He wouldn’t have told if he wasn’t blackmailed, but it’s not the worst thing he could tell them either.

Aw, he didn’t cheat on his wife. He just sees all the other evangelists doing it and it makes him feel like he doesn’t measure up. It all has to do with the well-known Christian game of sin one-upmanship

Evangelist One: Jesus saved me from adultery.

    Evangelist Two: But…but I, uh…I committed adultery,too!

Evangelist One: Yeah, but me and my wife had a foursome with another couple!

Evangelist Two: That’s nothing! Why, I….

Give that fucker a raise for his honesty! Jesus says so.

*Gasp* A televangelist? A religious man? Cheating on his wife? Impossible! Such a man of morals could not do such a thing! That something an atheist would do! Next you’ll be telling me that Ted Haggard had sex with a male prostitute and did meth.

I would not put inventing a tale of adultery and/or claims of blackmail beyond the Lambs.

I predict that in a recent future he is going to maje yet more $$

“Transparent account”? I always laugh at statements like that. How do they know he’s being totally transparent?
