That stands for “Hardcore Bible Thumping Spirit Filled Jesus Freaks,” although maybe you can think of a more appropriate acronym after watching the video.

The stupid is strong in this one. At least Pastor Buddy knew he was doing it for laughs.

  • ddm

I’m ashamed I got to the 0:50 mark. Not ashamed that I didn’t go farther, but that I got that far.

The suburban setting is the icing….

  • trj

This is almost as hardcore as Vanilla Ice.

  • Mike

Appallingly Shitty Solipsistic Hardcore Out-of-tune Lack-lustre Evangelicals.

  • Klaus

    Ouch! Make it stop!

  • http://ohmatron.wordpress.com/ Custador

That might be the whitest person I’ve ever seen.

  • NotAshamedofChrist

Nice video – whether its rap, r & b, trad. hymn, the good news of Jesus is always powerful.

    • Len

But this is neither good nor news. It’s just bad. Powerful, white man’s bad.

    • http://theskippyreview.wordpress.com Skippy

      You like this? Quelle surprise.

    • Thin-ice

NOAC, the only good news here is that the video eventually ended.

    • kholdom0790

Lol, not even bothering with your fresh new name anymore Naoc?

  • fearglic

ive always hated rap… but this was catchy……….. in the getting sick way…

  • Unladenswallow

If you think about it the arrogance many Christards show fits perfectly with some of the self aggrandizing arrogance shown by some rap performances.

  • Hans

If he’s so bible-thumping, why doesn’t he honor Leviticus’ prohibitionvagainst tattoos?

    • http://theskippyreview.wordpress.com Skippy

Um, because Jesus’s awful torture and alleged resurrection apparently invalidates that particular Biblical text (but not the one about male homosexual sex), Hans. Ain’t it grand that Jeebus is totes clear about everything?

  • http://theskippyreview.wordpress.com Skippy

I made it to 1:04. Why is there never someone to tell these people that they suck?

  • Justice Gustin

That’s just wrong in so many ways. My senses have been brutally violated.

  • Karl

Please, Daniel, don’t post any more of these, failures. I’ve poured so much bleach in my ears and eyes, that the store won’t sell me any more. I can’t get the painful ‘music’ out of my head, no matter how much I drink. Please, for the love of humanity, stop torturing us with this, crap. We can’t take it any more. The lights, the lights are burning like hygien. It’s coming, oh sweet Darwin, I see it coming, ….. the eyes, those, aarko8ygpoa tq084t ajf………………

    • VorJack

Bwahahahaha! It’s working, Frank! It’s working!

Now for the next stage in the experiment. We kidnap the most susceptible atheist we can find, shoot him into space and force him to watch Christian rap videos while we monitor his mind.

Soon you will all bow down before me!

      • Jerdog

The mads were never THAT evil.

        • Len

          But the mods are.

  • Mahou

I don’t think it stands for anything. I think it’s just more gibberish, same as the rest of what he says.

  • zach

yeah you have to deal with a lot of haters and difficult trials when you live in American middle-class suburbia. poor persecuted christians.

Ugh. I’m off to scrub my brain with some Iron Maiden.

  • Ebon Badger

Why is modern christian music so completely and utterly shit? It’s like “Well, we hired that Handel bloke to write ‘Messiah’ so we don’t need to bother with actual tunes anymore”. Also, this guy may well have dissuaded several of his audience from checking out real hip hop culture, and for that alone he needs a kick inna fork!

    • Thin-ice

Didn’t you know, evangelicals steal everything they can from pop culture, to show that their Jesus is now, he is cool, he is what’s happnin’. We Jesus freaks (hey, MY generation coined that term first!) did it back in the late ’60s with hippy culture & music, now our kids and grandkids are doing it with their culture.

Above all, today’s christian kids desperately want to look like they are part of their secular culture, without actually living the culture. They want to look cool just like the non-christian kid next door.

      • Skippy

And shouldn’t that desire to emulate secular culture be a sin as well?

  • Thin-ice

Do Mormons make this kind of shit as well?

  • Dan

The pain, the pain. Make it stop!

  • khal82

At least he doesn’t care “what people say…” – but does he know we can’t bear to listen to what he says? It’s all so formulaic, whether rap or “rock” ya got the “awesome savior” and the “relationship” and “fightin’ the battle”. Secular music is about the struggles of life, too, but at least some seeks to break new ground, pay homage to its roots, create art, poetry? “Okay, so, our goal here is to say the same thing, you know, that script from Church. Same words, different tune, this’ll be the one!”

Awww, sh*t, why am I even addressing this, I’m going to bed.

  • Victoriajoy

I like how he points to his crotch when he says “hardcore”.

  • drax
