This form of preaching appeals to the baser instincts. The message doesn’t matter at all, it’s all about building excitement. Most of the congregation will eagerly consume whatever inane babble she is shouting as long as she does it in the correct pitch and cadence. I doubt many of them will remember a few days later what it was she said, but they’ll remember the stirring feeling they got from her performance.
