    Amen.

Unfortunately, when brought up in a culture that firmly establishes your moral superiority to everybody else, pointing out this kind of inconsistency does not really move people. Exceptions can always be made if you’re righteous enough. The Establishment Clause and other such things are only really there to stop all the bad people from spreading their wicked heresy, but who could argue with saying the right prayers?

On a related note, the US House of Representatives is voting today on a bill reaffirming the use of ‘In God We Trust’ on money and notionally expanding this to allow for god to be invoked in the decoration of public buildings. I guess it’s a slow week, not like there’s massive unemployment, unseasonal snowstorms, civil unrest or a steady stream of fiscal and legislative skullduggery to deal with.

I had to go check and see if it was a rapper I knew about. There are actually some really good poets doing “Christian ministry.” Here. In SC.
