    I guess I’m a little slow here. Is the point that they only use their bibles and we use lots of scientific/secular sources? I apologize, but it’s been a long day and I feel like this joke is just ever so slightly beyond my frontal lobe.

      That’s pretty much it. Ever had a discussion with a Christian about why the entire world should not allow gay marriage? They’ll inevitably cite their version of their bible, which of course is meaningless to non-Christians. Try having a discussion with our own John C about anything, ever, and it will all boil down to citing seemingly arbitrary passages that he’s decided he knows the secret meaning of. If they can’t use the bible, they won’t have a thing to talk about.
