I wonder if Barton means these historians.
From my basic Graduate level Christain Theology class, if you deny the Trinity or the Divinity of Christ you are probably NOT a Christian. These are two of the fundamental tenants of Christianity. Barton needs to revisit ORU for remedial theology courses.
He would need a TON of “documentation” that would have to directly contradict all of the EXISTING documentation that proves what’s he’s saying is wrong. Either that, or he’s just butchered “cartons” of quotes…again…
Priceless Barton. The sham and the shame of it all continues. Doesn’t he realize that virtually all of Jefferson’s writings are in the public domain? It doesn’t surprise me that this guy holds so much sway in the Republican Party.

He also may have a PhD or two who would agree with a point or two (Eidsmoe, Herb Titus).
