Harassment and Fasting: Fighting Evil is Within Our Grasp

Harassment and Fasting: Fighting Evil is Within Our Grasp August 2, 2015

FromtheHubtotheHeartYesterday, my Facebook account was hacked and someone sent out a pornographic image with my name on it. Some of my friends were hacked, too, so I’m busy deleting other images. I have done a security check and changed my password.

These attacks on Catholic/Christian pages are increasing in frequency. It’s obviously related to the demonic influences in society.

I’m getting so many positive messages, however, from various sources that recommend we do a lot more fasting, in order to fight the rising tide of evil in the world and to support those who are persecuted.

Award-winning pro-life author and journalist, Leticia Velasquez, recently ghost-wrote a memoir for an amazing guy, Andy LaVallee, called, “From the Hub to the Heart: My Journey.” Andy owns a bakery conglomerate and was living a privileged, but sinful life, when none other than Jim Caviezel urged him to go to Medjugorje, where he had a profound conversion.

Now his bakeries also make special fasting breads, and Andy faithfully lives on bread-n-water only, two cranberry-roll-300x225days weekly, prays the Rosary, goes to Mass, etc.  Here’s his website: http://livethefast.org/

As of right now, he does not have gluten-free breads, but I did suggest it to him when I met him at the CMN Trade Show and Catholic Writers’ Guild conference, last week, in New Jersey.

Peace, my friends!

“Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed,

you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.

Nothing will be impossible for you.

But this kind does not come out except by prayer and fasting.”

(Matthew 17:20-21 NABRE)
