Movie Club: Paa Discussion

I enjoyed this movie more than I expected to. It's pretty amazing that the kid was played by Amitabh Bachchan. I never would have guessed. I kept trying to see him under the makeup but I really couldn't. Kind of clever to have the son played by the father of the actor who plays the father in the movie. Wow that was complicated.Strangely I think my favorite part was in the very beginning before we even meet Auro. I loved the school fair and all the projects. Bandaids between India and … [Read more...]

Movie Club: Kal Ho Naa Ho

I enjoyed this movie a lot. It's not displacing my favorites, but it was really nice. The title basically means what if there's no tomorrow. As in, live for today. Here are my thoughts as I was watching (there will be spoilers):It's so funny. The grandmother and her friends singing is hilarious and there's a lot of great moments of comedic timing. There are lots of aspects of this movie to draw me in. WhiteWashing

I'm going to be talking about the new Star Trek movie: Into Darkness today, so if you haven't seen it, you might want to skip this post.I enjoyed the movie very much and I think there's a lot of good to say about it. The actors captured their roles so well in this and the movie before it. But there was one thing that really leapt out at me.There's a character whose name is Khan Noonian Singh and he's played by this guy: Can you get more white than British actor Benedict … [Read more...]
