My daughters and I had the privilege of being invited twice to Iftar at the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro (ICM). We had a great time and the food, as always, was superb. The thing that struck me the most about attending is the way we, as guests, were treated. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was generous, courteous, kind, polite, and hospitable. Pre-Ramadan Dinner With Friends


My invitation came by email, though I wasn’t sure from whom.  I pinged a Muslim friend and learned she was going to attend so I turned in my rsvp, “yes.”  But what was a Pre-Ramadan dinner?  Should I wear a veil?  Would I have to take my shoes off?
