The current wave of ghosts and goblins featured on TV are pretty pathetic, so they aren't learning anything worth knowing, and are, in fact, getting a lot a patriarchal bullshit mixed in with the good stuff. I want the Sex and the City crowd to stay far away from me, and far away from magick. I hate that whole vibe. Shallow and indiscriminate do not equal liberated. Remember, when the likes of 'Melmoth the Wanderer', 'Northanger Abbey' and 'Frankenstein' were first written they were often read by 'young ladies' - indeed Jane Austin wrote Northanger Abbey as a spoof in response to the hysterical reactions of many of her female peers when reading such books.
