This woman was in her mid-sixties; I don't think it's unthinkable that she went out there with the intent of performing some personal ritual and simply keeled over. Most of the facts in the article seem to lean towards this idea rather than suicide: no note, no identification, was a happy person, no terminal illnesses, etc. Since we're not privy to the actual details, it's pretty hard to say though.
