It keeps her from charging for tarot card readings, a key aspect of Wiccan religion, she said.Then it’s a good thing, IMO, that she’s not allowed to charge for them, as that is not a “key aspect” of Wiccan religion according to any tradition I’m aware of.

I say this as someone who does Tarot card readings. I’m told I’m quite good at it.But.. I don’t recall it EVER being a necessary thing when I was a Wiccan (I’m not now.. more agnostic/atheist/buddhist). Even if it were, I definitely don’t remember charging for it being a key practice of my religion. While the law needs to go.. I don’t think it’s right to imply that our gifts are for sale. Most stores here in Tennessee allow you to donate any (or nothing) after the reading. I understand the need for a store to make money, but required payment for Tarot readings always made me a little queasy.
