Some years ago I obtained Ministerial credentials, a church charter and a Doctorate of Divinity from an accredited 501c3 CHRISTIAN church - The Church of Gospel Ministry, when it had its headquarters in Chula Vista CA - all in one day for a fee of $25. (I would be glad to send a scan of these docs to anyone interested)

If CHRISTIAN credibility can be bought so cheap why is there such a flap over the qualifications of anyone elses religion? Is this just part of the "Golden Rule" - the one with the gold makes the rules?

The Wild Hunt has my permission to forward any mail to me.

I am not a lawyer, but the ruling seems excessively narrow. LLL should appeal.

While I am not currently either a lawyer or a law student, I did take a business law class in college. Since I haven't actually seen the complaint, it's hard to truly know the answer to your question, but it's certainly possible that the judge is correct, depending on how the complaint was worded. A plaintiff only has standing if he or she is being harmed by the issue spelled out in the complaint. If the complaint hinged on the prisoners' rights rather than his lack of compensation as a prison chaplain, then the judge is correct -- his rights aren't being violated, hence he has no standing to sue.
