Whoa, I followed one of your links and discovered that this is in Feltonville. That's fifteen minutes away from me! I think it's worth pointing out that these excited PSPCA people are not in the area of PA that's full of KKK members and Republican farmers, but in the Democrat and relatively quite liberal city of Philadelphia.

This guy is a nut case, and a dangerous one at that. Today's story said his basement was smeared with … oh well, what do nut cases smear basement walls with? We see various types of animal cruelty all the time here in Philly. Mostly pet hoarding. This is definitely not religion. It's a serial killer in training.

If he is really a Santero then there is a very high probability that he is also a practicing Catholic. The article in fact describes Santeria as "a combination of African religions and Catholicism that originated among slaves in the Caribbean."

But if he's in Mexico, how is it candles were allegedly still burning? Swine Flu has some pretty heavy symptoms; how in the world would he have gotten on a plane?
