I don't support animal sacrifice. I understand that Santeria and Candomble are legally recognized religions and that individuals who practice these religions are legally allowed to sacrifice animals. I don't see any reason for it, it's cruel, it's not magical, and they don't always eat the animal they sacrifice after. It's not the same as kosher or halal meat and it's not the same thing as killing for food. I know Santeria's a hip religion for a lot of folks who can't otherwise find good teachers in the Craft, (and from the looks of the last few months on this site, and some of the stories about less than ethical self proclaimed Wiccans, who are murders and child molesters in reality, [The Goddess Made Me Do It!], can you blame them?) but it's not the same as the Craft. I fully and consistently support full amnesty for anyone now residing in the country, regardless of how they got here, where they where born, what kind of work they do, or don't do, or what religion, even one that I have a problem with, they subscribe to.

But I am curious...since I don't support animal sacrifice, in what way will I be dealt with? According to the original post: Anyone who does engage in vilifying Santeria has lost the moral high ground for their arguments, and should be treated accordingly If Santeria insists on animal sacrifice, then, no, I'm not for Santeria, but how will I be treated? Guess we'll find out soon enough!
