Moksha midpoint, “Where is the switch?”

Later today I will be entering my 15th day of 30 straight days of hot yoga at a wonderful studio and community in Los Angeles called Moksha Yoga. I was talking to my daughter’s teacher about this challenge and some of my insights and she was very encouraging, she said, “Good for you!”  I was [Read More...]

Day 14: Moksha Yoga, “Are you disturbed?”

So I came into day 14 of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha Yoga and laid on my mat, closed my eyes before practice, and as I laid there I noticed something. Here I am laying down and breathing, simple, right? Yet what changes when I get on my feet in a pose [Read More...]

Day 12: Moksha Yoga “Tears in Heaven”

On my mat today, I really caught who I am. Joe our teacher mentioned, “Freedom is in choice.” I chose freedom tonight. After class, I walked home, and felt strong, and tall, alive, and open. The sky was blue, with clouds, and sun light finding its way through. I cried. I just cried. No reason, just healing, just loving myself again. Nothing to fix, nothing to change, just tears, letting go. Feeling. Feeling the power of my heart. [Read more...]

Day 9: Moksha, “Yoga Is Divine”

Well day 9 of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha Los Angeles found me in a more gentle approach.  We seemed to flow in the first half the practice and then went in to restorative poses the second half.  Again before practice as I closed my eyes on my mat, I sat with [Read More...]

Want to dance?

Soar my friend…life is short in this body temple…you could go today, tomorrow, whenever it happens…don’t be arrogant with your time here…laugh, laugh more, and give up unkind ways toward yourself and others…and remember, “The greatest discovery on this planet is who you really are”, discover that and you will see me as well and we are one! Heart Talk

As we finally surrender to the breath, we surrender to the happening now.  Surrender means to yield. So we yield to the breath, no longer yielding to the monkey mind.  This is what is meant by detached mind. Yielding to the breath, as you yield to the breath, and hear it, you will be able [Read More...]

Do you like me?

Years ago I found myself in a group of people, who I loved dearly, loved.  The night before we met for dinner, a bottle of wine, and conversation, I had an experience.  Now some people are blessed to have one big experience that opens them up, such is the case with Eckhart Tolle and others.  [Read More...]
