My move to Columbus has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. After my move I relapsed into anorexia which landed me in the emergency room on Feb. 12. However, since getting on top of it, I’ve emerged with a new regiment of medication and a passion for exercise. This has resulted in most of my clothes no longer fitting. So a couple nights ago, Lyz Liddell (Director of Campus Organizing at the Secular Student Alliance) and Amanda Metskas (Executive Director of Camp Quest and originator of the battle with PZ) came with me to mitigate my lack of fashion sense in purchasing some new clothes.
When I moved, I was wearing 38″ waist pants without a belt. My new pants are 34″ waist and are too big. I could have easily gone to a 32″ waist and possibly even a 30″ waist. It feels amazing. Getting into physical fitness has been one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. I’m a very broad build, so I don’t think I’ll ever get ‘skinny’ per se, but it does feel good to have more energy, more muscle, and to be able to wear smaller pants.
