Dragon*Con day #1

I’m at Dragon*Con.

My talk went well.  My brother and my friend David Drake drove here all the way from Arkansas and were in the audience for my talk.  That meant a great deal to me, since my brother had never gotten to see me speak before.  Margaret Downey said I gave her hope for the future.  Someone else said my delivery made them think of Sam Harris but with better quotes.  (I love Sam Harris…I was floored).

I’m having a great time with Team SSA and with Amanda Knief of the Secular Coalition for America.  I also got to know a friend from the road, Gina Colaianni, a little better, and that has been very rewarding.

I’m also running around kicking everybody’s ass.

About JT Eberhard

When not defending the planet from inevitable apocalypse at the rotting hands of the undead, JT is a writer and public speaker about atheism, gay rights, and more. He spent two and a half years with the Secular Student Alliance as their first high school organizer. During that time he built the SSA’s high school program and oversaw the development of groups nationwide. JT is also the co-founder of the popular Skepticon conference and served as the events lead organizer during its first three years.

Have I mentioned before that you appear to be having more fun than is fair. Don’t go and have kids and screw that up!
