Donors Choose Train Is Not In The Station Yet!

The close of donors choose is approaching and freethought blogs is setting the world on fire (there’s a good quote mine for anybody wanting proof of the evil atheist agenda). Take a look at how things are stacking up. Hats off to Jen, Greg, Cuttlefish, and Dana for working some pretty spectacular magic. I’m a pretty competitive person, so I love being able to say that we’re king of the mountain.

Because I’m a competitive person, I hate having to say that my donors choose widget for music in public schools right here on my blog has grown dingy with cobwebs. In this last week, let’s kick some cash into music programs! Remember, there are incentives on the line!

I’ll also give some incentives above and beyond general altruism (and the fact that you probably want non-crappy music to put on your ipods in the future). If we hit $2,000, I will produce a karaoke video of singing nothing but Nsync songs all night. I’ll even learn some of the dances.

If you donate $50, I’ll let you pick a song for me to record (if I don’t know it, I’ll learn it).

If you donate $500, I will write a song about you and record it.

Throw some money in just because music rocks, and because you have the fortitude to skip that caramel latte with soy one morning this week

ajb47 already has me down for 76 Trombones from The Music Man. What do you guys want to hear?

While I think the Donors Choose concept is great theoretically, I never got around to actually checking it out. Until I fell hard for your “Let’s keep music in the classroom!” line. :)

      Awwwwwwwwww! Thank you!

$50 entitles you to have a song recorded for you. What song would you like?
