Great Times In Alabama

What a fun group of people!  What an event!  The two high school phenoms, Duncan Henderson and Jessica Ahlquist, tore it up.  Ever have that awkward moment where you’ve been public speaking for years and realize you’re outclassed by a couple of extremely talented high schoolers?  Happened to me.

Here I am with gloomy bear and Shannon.

After the AAA got me a bag of red skittles, I considered raising my rates

I should start charging more.  Maybe a bag of blue peanut butter M&Ms?

Enter Laura who reads the blog and gives quite literally the most amazing hugs on planet earth (and also proposed to me via twitter…with hugs like hers, it was tempting).

We went to dinner after the talks.  At dinner I was going from one end of the room to the other and stealing a hug from her at every pass.  :P

It was an honor to share the stage with Jessica and Duncan.  I am very grateful to Gordon Maples and all the groups who combined to make this happen.

I never thought I’d find myself eager to go to Alabama, but I would definitely jump at the chance to come back.
