I have been deceived.

There are a gaggle of protesters hanging about Skepticon.  Upon arriving at the conference today they recognized me and wanted a picture.  Swag.

Just a little bit ago, one of the youngsters in their thrall employ, without a word, handed me a tract.  It was a one million dollar bill on one side with a wall of scripture and septic attempts at argument on the other.  I said to the boy:

“Oh hell yes!  One million dollars!  Wait…this isn’t one million dollars at all.  This is an attempt to sucker me in with thoughts of money to read about your religion.  I have been deceived, as if by Lucifer himself.  And you call the devil the deceiver!  This leaves me more bitter than ever toward Jesus on account of your deceit!”

He just stared at me, unaware of what to say.

Things are going well at Skepticon.  To be this loved by everybody I come across…it’s wonderful.  It warms the cockles of my cold, hard atheist heart.
