Diocese sues another diocese for sending them a priest accused of diddling boys.

Well this is awkward:

In a rare legal move, a Roman Catholic diocese in Minnesota is suing a diocese in Ireland, alleging it transferred a priest to Minnesota without warning that the man had been accused of sexual abuse.

Good for the diocese in Minnesota.  This comes right on the heels of the Pope saying that nobody has done more than the Catholic Church to root out pedophilia:

Pope Francis has defended the Catholic Church’s record on tackling the sexual abuse of children by priests, saying “no-one else has done more” to root out paedophilia.

“The Catholic Church is perhaps the only public institution to have acted with transparency and responsibility. No-one else has done more. Yet the Church is the only one to have been attacked,” he said in an interview with Il Corriere della Sera daily published Wednesday.

Someone should introduce Pope Fluffy to his predecessor – the one who shielded child rapists within the folds of the Church from prosecution and detection.
