My morals.

I cannot tell you how often I’ve had this conversation with people like Matt Dillahunty and other public atheists who know the bible.

Christians love the converted public atheist narrative.  You also only need to be able to play 5-6 chords, not necessarily in different keys, and have maybe an octave and a half singing range to produce CD upon CD of Christian music for ludicrous profit.  The lyrics don’t even have to ascend to any standard above inane.  Myself, Dillahunty, Seth Andrews, and more…we could be so fucking rich.  But we have morals, and so we’d feel bad about deceiving people.  In many cases, I suspect that’s the primary difference between us and the people actually taking Christians’ money.
