Sanity Check: Is Gendercide De Facto Law in Great Britain?

It would seem so. By gendercide, I mean sex-selection abortion, as generally the feminine sex comes out on the short end of the stick.

Last month, see, the justice system in London decided to not enforce the laws that are currently on their books. Zenit had the story,

Archbishop Peter Smith of Southwark joined his voice to those expressing concern that the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to prosecute two doctors who agreed to perform abortions based on sex selection.

In a statement Tuesday, the vice president of the bishops’ conference of England and Wales responded to the CPS decision, handed down last week.

“Many people are rightly very concerned about the CPS decision not to prosecute in the case of the doctors who were willing to conduct abortion as a means of gender selection, and I welcome the intervention of the Health Secretary,” he said.

The archbishop added that abortion “is always an injustice to the child who is unwanted, and sex selection through abortion is just one expression of that injustice.”

It is illegal in Britain to perform abortions for sex selection.

Rebecca Hamilton has more, and more links, on this unfortunate turn of events. When will we stop coming up with excuses for killing the unborn? How will we truly encourage the dignity of human persons of both sexes if we allow babies to be killed simply because they are the wrong sex? When will this insanity stop?

In light of this news, I’m reminded of the sayings of two wise men, one ancient,

A time is coming when people will go mad and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, “You are mad because you are not like us.” —St. Anthony the Great

the other modern,

Mysticism keeps men sane. As long as you have mystery you have health; when you destroy mystery you create morbidity. The ordinary man has always been sane because the ordinary man has always been a mystic. He has permitted the twilight. He has always had one foot in earth and the other in fairyland. —G.K. Chesterton

Which makes me both insane and sane, at the same time. That might be the closest I get to being able to bilocate.

When will we stop coming up with excuses for killing the unborn (and the elderly)? How will we truly encourage the dignity of human persons of both sexes if we allow babies to be killed simply because they are the wrong sex? When will this insanity stop?

Reality check, gendercide is not the law in GB, I’m a British woman was I was not raised hidden in secret because my Mother was afraid my gender would be discovered. If you mean to ask if abortion on the grounds of gender legal in the UK say so. Saying that sex selection by abortion is “the law” makes it sound compulsory, I know you yanks like to mangle our beloved English language but that is ridiculous. (I don’t agree with abortion I just agree with precision in language.)
