You probably got bored when you realized it takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds for the light from the Sun to reach the Earth. How close are we to finding the means to move an object at 671 million miles per hour? Hmmmm.

Let’s pretend we can make a vessel that can achieve this speed safely, and reliably, today. Better pack a lot of food, a lot of movies, and a lot of beer, for the trip to anywhere. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself saying “Are we there yet?” to infinity, and beyond.
