Thanks For Donating to Help Make “All That Remains”

Just a quick note at the beginning of the day to say thanks to everyone who has donated to help make the film All That Remains. A Phase 3 funding drive is happening now, and I see $315 sitting in the kitty ==>> as of now, with 41 days to go. Have you check out the new All That Remains website yet? Head on over there. While you’re strolling around with your mouse, buy a t-shirt, coffee mug, or mouse pad at the Store. [Read more...]

A Petition For All Freedom Loving People to Sign UPDATED

Notice: This petition reached the goal and was responded to by the Administration.

Evidently, I’m getting ready for a Catholic Spring or something. After posting about the Facebook group all freedom loving people should join, see, I had another idea. After all, if I’m in for a penny, I’m in for a pound. Just like the Pamchenko, there is no “half way” with me. I’m either fully on, or fully off. And you knew John Wayne died a Catholic, right?! Do you have a Facebook account? If so, you should join, and share, this group today:

Stand with the US Bishops against the HHS. While you’re at it, go sign the petition to the White House too.

That is all.

Gone Readin’ About the History of the “Holy Places”

I have to admit to you, dear reader, that I am ignorant about much regarding the way “things” are. The world is a very complex place, and this is mostly through our own, dare I say it, grievous faults. And I also need to let you know that the semi-annual fracus in the Holy Places, like the one I shared with you yesterday, both sadden me and excite my interest in learning how they came about. Gunnery Practice

This morning, I’ve been firing test shots from the gun deck to make sure all the link thingies for Networked Blogs are working. If you have been bombarded on Facebook and Twitter lately, that’s the reason. I’m firing this post off to see if it goes right down the pickle barrel too. If it does, all systems will be “go” and YIMCatholic 2.0 will be “good to go.” If it doesn’t, I’ll go back to the range for more practice.

Signed,

Your Intrepid Blogger.

Half A Million Thanks!

I was just over at YIMCatholic 1.0 looking for something in the archives, when I noticed a milestone for the blog has been reached on this day: 500,000 page views?! How accurate is that doo-hickey (way down below the Holy Family==>>) ? I really have no idea. But it does gives me a neat snapshot of the world like this, [Read more...]

About This Blog (And Blogger) in 1000 Words or Less

I became a Catholic when I was confirmed at the Easter Vigil in the year of Our Lord, 2008. I was baptized, though, when I was 10 years old in a Non-denominational Christian church located in my hometown. With my family, I attended regularly (pretty much if church was open, we were there!) until I graduated from high school and joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17. [Read more...]
