PSA: Charlie Rose Interviews Syrian President Assad on PBS Tonight, 9PM Eastern

I don’t normally tune in to Charlie Rose on PBS, but seeings how tonight’s guest is Bashar al-Assad, I will be. Tune in, as it should be an interesting conversation. Hopefully my local PBS station will be carrying it, but you never know.

I want to get a look at the bad guy, and here what he has to say to Charlie. Lord knows I’ve heard about as much about the Syrian Free Army as I can stand. Did you hear what the rebels did to several of the ancient and beautiful churches in the city of Maloula, about 45 minutes north of Damascus?

Just one more reason not to support military action in Syria.

Joanne McPortland tipped me off about this in the combox of the post I wrote about the crickets chirping on the other major networks following the biggest religious lawsuit ever. Kudos to PBS, who I lauded last time for hosting Fr. Robert Barron’s Catholicism series as well.
