Dwight's Prayer
Chris C - Valley Village, CA
Category: Why I Am A _______ (Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist, etc.)
"Why I Am A Christian." I, Chris Covell, am a freshman film student at Chapman University in Orange County, CA. I shot this with a friend, Roddy McLeod, at his house in the Hollywood Hills and is starring Dwight, the bobblehead. I am the voice of Dwight and Dr. Neil McLeod, an incredible dentist, is the voice of God. I hope you have as much fun watching this movie as we had making it! =)
The Path

Category: Why I Am A _______ (Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist, etc.)
I grew up in a Christian home, but college is a time to choose your own path. Follow me on my journey to re-evaluate and choose my beliefs. Three special belief systems: "I can't know", "None of the above" and "All of the above" are discussed. Your choice may be different than mine, but watch the video to see where my path led me.
Remembering

It's easy to forget the special relationship between Christianity and Judaism -- that salvation and redemption for Gentiles came through the Jews and the prophecies for a Messiah. Having just celebrated Passover and Easter, I wanted to examine the intersection of these holidays through a key connection between Jewish and Christian faith: the spiritual law of substitutionary atonement for sin through the sacrifice of an innocent life. The story of Jesus the Messiah widens the scope of the story of Passover to include Gentiles, and provides an opportunity to enter a new covenant with God through His sacrifice. At this time of the year, Passover and Easter help me remember mankind's escape from the universal slavery of sin to the promised land of freedom, forgiveness, redemption and salvation through Jesus (or "Yeshua," a Hebrew name literally meaning "salvation"). Most of the words in this video are taken from the Bible and the Haggadah for the Passover Seder. Let us therefore recite before Him Hallelujah, Praise G-d!
My Faith is My Community
Maggie D - Ithaca, NY
Category: Rituals & Practices Of My Faith
As part of the Ithaca College Catholic Community, I practice my faith through formal and informal rituals with my fellow students. Mass is our official ritual, but events and practices such as retreats, lock-ins, and weekly soup supper help us to form bonds with one another and live our common faith fully.
