Thanksterz!: You Got Doted On!
Manny F - Houston, TX
Category: How I Live My Faith On Campus
Though they may carry a strain of cruelty, everyone loves the occasional practical joke--especially when they're caught on candid camera. For years, candid camera shows have captured the lighthearted embarrassment of prank victims for our viewing pleasure. But instead of practical jokes, could there ever be a candid camera show about acts of kindness. In this video, I piloted such an idea to convey the everyday quality of faith-based kindness and how it can be practiced on (or near) a college campus.

Fresh Prince Of Hillel
Adam L - West Bloomfield, MI
Category: Rituals & Practices Of My Faith
The Michigan State University Hillel House provides opportunities for Jewish students on campus to explore and celebrate their Jewish identity through delicious free Shabbat dinners, trips to Israel, and alternative break programs. On such a diverse campus, Hillel offers a centralized place for students to reaffirm the rituals and practices of their faith through their own, unique traditions, and ground themselves with religion, services, and foods while interacting with other students. Juniors Justin Rolnitzky and David Zemon paired with Senior Adam Luger to promote the MSU Hillel program with a little help from The Fresh Prince. Yo Homes, To Hillel!

What is sacred space on a college campus?
Nathan R - Collegeville, PA
Category: How I Live My Faith On Campus
In September, 2009, a group of students -- some explicitly religious, some not -- were asked what space on their college campus (Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania) they would identify as "sacred." Perhaps surprisingly, none of them identified the chapel or meditation hall. Here are some of their answers.

BASIC-ally Thats What Its All About
tyler O - Hollsopple, PA
Category: Rituals & Practices Of My Faith
I created this video to show a religious activity I take part in that I believe is the perfect way to reach people and to spread the Christian faith. In my Church I ran a youth group called BASIC, which stood for Brothers And Sisters In Christ. In BASIC, we would teach and carry out many of the things that we learned in this class. Many of the concepts discussed in class were also discussed in Basic like the touch, the triangle of justice, and the sense of community. The video was created to show how fun and contemporary, yet also religious and comforting, a youth group could be.
