There's a good article about Minchin in the April 1 issue of the New Yorker. It focusses on his current work producing the U.S. version of Matilda, which opens next week on Broadway. He wrote the music and lyrics for the record-breaking musical in the UK. I first heard of him a few years ago from this blog. Unfortunately, the full text is not available online, but there's a 20-minute audio interview with the article's author, which includes excerpts of his music and phone call with Minchin.
