More in general:
"If God is omnipotent, why can't He fulfil whatever Grand Design he has without making us suffer?"

...why did he impregnate a virgin? And other stupid questions.

I wasn't sure to post this in the new thread Custador made, but reading that made me think, so - going by "It's Adam and Eve, not Adam & Steve" and the whole fight against marriage equality, I was thinking the sacredness of marriage being one man and one woman related to the idea that life is created mostly by one man and one woman at a time, so god made one of each to carry on the sacred life-creating that he started.

And then I think to myself, well that's fine, how else are they going to make more people? Then we have some more people and some of them are gay. So what now? I know and realize they think "gay" is something you can catch from seeing or from playing with dolls instead of trucks. What I think is really bizarre is how they force someone to stop being gay, and they never seem to consider that children might inherit it, since they don't think it's genetic. Would that make things worse or better? But anyway, back when we suppose there are only two people on earth, it serves the descendents well that they were one of each. So yeah, it was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. We're pretty well set for straight people by now. Plus, they screwed it up. As I pointed out elsewhere a while ago, they are hardly a good standard against which to measure a "proper" marriage. One of their children killed the other one, for fuck's sake. Great parenting from the icons of straight marriage.

But back to the original idea now - god created the sacred marriage between one man and one woman to fuck like animals do and make babies like animals do since we're not animals when he could just make someone out of dirt any time he thinks we need a few more people. Why is there overpopulation, starvation, poverty, abortion, welfare, charity, any of that - if god exists, "marriage" would not have to exist. Or is that shit with getting kicked out of the garden?
