I'm not entirely sure why you think Kodie's responses doesn't make sense. As far as I can tell she is merely pointing out that making your intent clear, just in words, is not easy and you're coming across as someone who intentionally winds people up or even someone who doesn't care how they appear to others. Neither of these are desirable traits.

If I felt I had offended someone when I didn't mean to then I would probably use something along the lines of 'sorry no offence meant etc.' not 'well that's your fault not mine'. This wouldn't be so bad if it hadn't already been pointed out to you by other posters. Don't you get even slightly suspicious that multiple people have noted the same thing about how you come across or is it that you just don't care?

And your last sentence contradicted your own complaints.

Think about it.

We only have words to judge one another by, you might think about that also. Is your motive to piss people off? If it's not, then your tone is coming across a little hard. If it is, you are as perfect as you think you are.

The topic is which is the best cheese and while I'm not anti-cheese, it doesn't interest me right now more than a little drama. Someone who stirs it up telling people how to react to them and when.

Kodie... you might want to stop and think about what you are assuming.

The difference between a personal attack and just being off-topic is....? Let's all refrain from addressing anyone on the basis of their being persistently annoying to try to talk to, or let's all refrain from attacking them, calling them names, having names called back. Two different things. But hey, when you get yourself off on the wrong foot, aligning yourself with the mod when someone is hoping you'll adjust your attitude a little isn't probably going to get you back on the right foot in a hurry, not that we're a mob or anything. While having an abrasive and straight-shooting personality certainly can have its charms when necessary, there's such a thing as behaving too comfortably that makes others uncomfortable. I'd rather enjoy each other's company very soon and hope that feeling is mutual.

The mod said, the mod said. I think he has a name, and he asked us to be nice, all of us. That said, I don't have a favorite cheese because I live an unrefined life. If it was puns, I'd be down with it.

If one judged from this thread alone... "personal attacks" is a fluid subjective ruling. And the request to cease them isn't really taken very seriously.

Do we need a "no meta-moderating" clause? Trust me, if Jabster had stepped over the line enough to arouse my ire, I'd have told him. The original comment was mostly directed at you and Jabster, though I should have included Kodie who DOESN'T BELIEVE IN CHEESES!!! WTF? Total crime!

Personal I love cheese but trying to say which type of cheese is better is all a bit pointless. I like a strong Cheddar but it's so different to Stilton you can't really compare them ... saying that my favourite cheese at the moment is Stinking Bishop.
