I'm closer to Chattanooga than Nashville, now, but I lived for over 16 years in either Nashville or Murfreesboro.

Nashville is a lot more cosmopolitan than people give it credit for, but it is still a huge nexus of Christian Record Labels and Publishing Companies.

Still in Nashville. How long has it been since you were here, are you still here? Nashville has had such a rush of different cultures that it seems more difficult to find a Christian now a days. So far the majority of people I have met share my same views in not believing in an entity or at least saying they don't know. Regardless however, the judgment here from those who I have met doesn't seem near as harsh as it was back home, not even close.

I been reading Unreasonable Faith for some time now. Just recently took the time to register. So a quick whois about me since I probably will be throwing my 2 cents in from time to time.

I grew up in a southern Baptist church. Was force fed christian beliefs, but never could understand it. Honestly, I had never even considered it a lie until I was 8 years old and caught my parents doing the "easter Bunny" thing and suddenly realized my parents were liars. I realize now in my adulthood, they were merely doing the cultural thing and don't hold any hard feelings. But it did take a few months before I backed off a little. It was this same "Early" morning that I also questioned everything they had told me and yet had not proven. Jesus/God being one of them. I was forced to go to church until I was 12 when I finally put my foot down and said, enough. Although they never quit pestering me to go, and I would from time to time just to get some relief from their hounding. But I never could wrap my teeth around it all and finally in my adulthood, I found the strength to say I couldn't believe, what could not be proven.

Believe it or not, being from a small town in Kentucky, making this stance really ex-communicated me from everyone *Eye Roll*. I was a participating member of my community working in Law Enforcement and a couple civic clubs to help out in our community. But, the nose snubbing got to be more than I could take and eventually I moved to Nashville TN, where I find my beliefs to be a lot more popular.

I've been ask by friends and family, how I could possibly be happy not having "Jesus" in my heart. I explain to each of them, I can't see how you could be happy living under such a ruling of guilt. I explain I am more happy now, knowing that I don't have to live by some rules about a being that has yet to prove to anyone he exists. I truly find myself much happier with those shackles removed, and guess what, I'm still a good guy!

Well enough about me and hello to all of you!
