Mr. Plinkett's reviews are epic. I love how he breaks down exactly what is wrong with the prequels. His last review of "Revenge of the Sith" pinpoints Lucas's failure as a director (e.g., his overreliance upon CGI and creating sterile environments).

Ok, how did this devolve into talking about Plinkett?
But yes, he is brilliant. I enjoyed his reviews of the Star Wars prequels far more than I enjoyed (tolerated?) the actual movies.
Did you watch his review of Star Trek, the Reboot? Spot on as usual, but I loved the middle bit where he attacked the entire idea of 'rebooting' an old story. It was almost prescient about how miserable Tron ended up.

I just watched his Star Trek (reboot) review, having just been introduced via AICN a few weeks ago and at your suggestion.
Awesome. Sums up my feelings pretty much exactly: Loved the movie; wasn't a Star Trek movie.
Now I go down the rabbit hole and see the other Plinkett reviews.

I'm gonna start a thread in Books/Music/Movies about Plinkett's Reviews of Star Wars and Star Trek so as not to further derail this thread...
