And specifically yesterday and the day before yesterday, at least for me.
Personal wankery and frustration, I ended up slamming my head in a glass, with all the obvious unpleasant medical consequences.
Libya going back in the hands of the murderous bastard, EU and UN did far too little.
Earthquake in Japan, thousands of deaths, nuclear danger.
The most powerful nation in the world being less and less of a free democracy.
Israel approving new settlements.
Italy going through the shitter.
I know things can feel terribly overwhelming and how helpless this can make a person feel. Try to remember that we all have limited power and responsibilities in these matters. That is a really, really hard thing, I know! It is hard for sensitive people to live in a world where so much suffering surrounds us, but we have to remember that we didn't cause the suffering and we have limited powers to alleviate it. We can do what we can do, and that is all... and that is ok. It is ok to not have the ability to solve the world's problems. It doesn't make us bad people and it doesn't make us callous either. We are doing the best we can do.

I have had a couple of crappy days as well, FO. A possible medical diagnosis that could completely change my lifestyle and has me fairly freaked out. Hope you are ok. Remember, there's only so much you can control. If you have a tendency (like me) to read negative things into your future based on your current circumstances--don't. I'm old enough now to know that things do change. Don't project your current feelings/circumstances into the rest of your life. Deal with your present circumstances and let the future play out. And, get help if you need it!
