Gladly. As soon as everyone else does.

Very interesting article. The fact that I am making that comment here, though, shows that I disagree somewhat.

Just popping in to say I disagree with the Examiner's comment policies. The individual authors have power to censor the comments on their articles.
This leads to not being able to debate the articles, if the author doesn't want debate. My particular beef is with Greg West, who rants about anti-mormons in his articles, but doesn't let us defend ourselves.

I wouldn't hold that against the Examiner. Most comment threads on news websites are an absolute mess, with only the dumbest, most ill-informed readers bothering to add their two cents.
Plus, were I the Examiner I wouldn't feel the need to give Mormons ground to defend themselves. They have plenty of money and resources to push out their own publications.

Yeah, but the guy is a mormon, and attacks anti-mormons, and then silences our voices in the comments on the articles.

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought he ranted against Mormons.
Still though, it's not a private publication's responsibility to give a platform to its opponents. Particularly given the level of idiocy and illiteracy in the comment threads of most news websites.

Yeah, measure, I'm with Jeremy on this one. I'm sure it is frustrating, but it's their site.
The blogosphere is pretty democratic, though, so you can start http://www.theexaminerisfullofhorseshit.com, and not let them comment on your articles.
It would be nice if that sort of tit-for-tat could be avoided, but this is the real world, and it's not ideal.

Moreover, it may come across as odd that some atheists and anti-theists spend an unusual amount of time and energy talking about God.
Since many of us feel that religion is a major social problem, it shouldn't be that surprising.
Why would atheists and anti-theists continue to use the same methods when debating with theists, without ever suspecting that belief in God is not the type of thing that requires any evidence?
Given that many on us apparently de-converted due to a lack of evidence, this shouldn't be surprising either.

Why didn't I think of that? I don't know if I'll do much with this blog, but I have now created http://gregwestisanidiot.wordpress.com/ to respond to my least-favorite examiner.com writer.
The best page so far is the "Are you Greg West" page. If I follow through, it may get interesting.
At the very least, I have a place to vent my frustration.

Measure, I just found out you are a cyber-stalker, a meathead, a pre-op tranny, and apparently a defender of Satan's Dominion, all in 10 minutes.
