Dang! No one appreciates my doggie film? WTH?
Shaky cam is all the rage, I know, but I don't like it.
Also, the monster is too small to be scary.
And the dialog could have been better.
And the ending didn't make sense to me. Was it a twist like Sixth Sense or something?
Ha ha! No- it was a gift for my parent's anniversary... it's supposed to be cute and funny. Birdie has caught squirrels before and she kills them. I don't have that on film (and don't want to!), so I just showed a pic of a dead one.
Thanks for taking time to critique. It is my first film! :D
Always nice to see a film with a strong female lead.
I appreciate your doggie film LRA. Was gonna comment when you first posted it, but you know there was that whole other thing going on around here.
Your first film shows promise. Personally I would have tried to include a shot of Birdie taking down a squirrel. It would provide a much needed sense of resolution to the viewer. But if your parents aren't into dead squirrels. Oh well, something for the sequel perhaps. And if you could get your dog to pull a little wagon to the theme from Rocky IV it might beef up the training montage a bit.
My first film (nothing to do with dogs, but some of you might find it amusing):

Thanks, Vorjack! :D
Nox! Oh the brilliance!
Yes-- I understand the need for a takedown... that's why I tried to show a wolf taking down a little deer. I felt conflicted about it... I wanted to imply her ferocity, but didn't have the footage to do so. Wanting to get the film finished in time for my parents' anniversary, I went with the nature film takedown...
Adorable doggy is adorable <3
I miss my puppy so bad now...
Aww!
:)
I like it! I would have chosen Kitty for the lead role, though. But that might be the toxoplasmosis talking... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis#Behavioral_changes
(I have no idea if I have toxoplasmosis, but I like to think so.)
I"ve been planning to do a kitty movie, actually. :D
The sequel could be that doggie trying to take down a big and angry cat. Give it some suspense.
I too was going to comment earlier but was similarly derailed.
Excellent first movie. Great special effects.
Loved the wolf sequence-- I think I saw that very program on Animal Planet. That was a good laugh. I hate watching things get killed though-- especially squirrels, who are my outside tree pets (I have just noticed a really cool-looking blonde one hanging out in one of my cedar trees) along with birds-- so I think you made the right call there.
I like weiner dogs.
