   Even SMBC Theater got Ad Hominem wrong.

   I think this one is a favorite of the fundies because it's like a get out of jail free card. "You said something I consider mean, therefore I can call 'ad hominem' and not have to debate the points you made."

   Luckily "ad hominem" and "being mean" are not synonyms.

   "That's the most fantastically stupid argument I've ever heard and you'd have to be an idiot to buy it, because it completely fails to consider ______" is not an ad hominen argument, though it may be quite mean.
