Last day of lecture for my class in introduction to modern physics, and we were wrapping up a little bit about why a particle will be reflected from an infinitely deep cliff (Obviously this doesn't work for us when we try to drive a car off a cliff). The reason has to do with the particles wavelength, and the talk preceded into a discussion about the fundamental constants of the universe and why they are what they are. Here my professor mentioned the anthropic principle as one of the posited answers to this question, but continued with:
...I prefer a different formulation. That the physical constants are the way they are for humans to be smart enough to invent the anthropic principle, but to be dumb enough to think that it have anything to do with them.
Paraphrased, but thought it was good enough to share as the anthropic principle pops up from time to time in discussions with theists.
