My entire life I've grown up believing in God. I also grew up believing in evolution. I never saw how the two matched up so I decided to lean my education in finding out how this universe works. Long story short, I no longer believe in evolution. I've done research, and it just seems unreasonable for me.
For instance,
Evolution: When I walk outside at night and see all the stars, planets, and moons, I cannot bring myself to believe that they were once mashed into a mass smaller than a period, and then exploded for no coherent reason and some how evolved into the universe today
ID: God did it.
Evo: claims that life evolved from non-living material in some primordial soup. Aside from that being impossible since living organisms need oxygen to survive and paradoxically oxygen prevents amino acids to form complex proteins, this goes against the 2nd law of thermodynamics (well, the entire theory does).
ID: God did it in 6 days
Evo: claims that all living organisms evolved from one ancestor. Has anybody really looked at all the species on the planet and seen how complex they are. To say that they simply happened by mistake or mutation is absurd. I understand mutations occur and some even in the favor of the organism, but mutations are formed from genes that already exist. I have trouble believing something crawled out of the primordial soup and mutated into birch tree.
ID: God's at it again
I could go on and on but I know how much some of you evolutionist want to bash the s*** out of me for using God as my explanation for everything. Now, let me explain God.
I believe myself to be a man of science. Science is facts and truths gained through systematic study. So down to its root definition, no one can prove God scientifically, nor evolution. We can simply find truths and facts that point towards that larger truth but in essence are still assumptions. However, I do believe in God, scientifically.
This is how I see God.
God is a supreme being that exists in but is not bound by many dimensions. Like we've created AI, God has created us. However, since God (or the ID)is so much more complex than us, we cannot see Him for who he truly is. If we could completely understand Him, He wouldn't be worth calling God and really wouldn't be that much above us. We exist in spacetime; He can but does not have to. His creation was perfect in the beginning and is getting worse as time goes on (again, 2nd law of thermodynamics). We as a human race, although technologically advancing, are really de-evolving.
Now, its extremely hard to put into words who and what I really think God is and maybe I'll try to clarify but that's it for now.
