Approximately 73 percent of the population, including noncitizens, practices at least some elements of Christianity; 12 percent practices Islam (of whom 80 to 90 percent are foreigners); 10 percent practices animism exclusively; and 5 percent practices no religion. Many persons practice elements of both Christianity and animism.
