Patheos Launches Progressive Christian Portal

Portal Will Host the Discussion on Today's Progressive Christianity and Feature Brian McLaren, Diana Butler Bass, Tony Jones, Bruce Reyes-Chow, the Slacktivist, and Others

DENVER — June 15, 2011 — Patheos.com, the world's premier online destination for global dialogue on religion and spirituality, today announced the launch of a Progressive Christian portal designed as a marketplace of ideas for the evolving movement of Progressive Christianity.

The portal will be anchored by some of Christianity's best-known and most respected writers who have moved their blogs to Patheos. In addition to a new weekly column by Brian McLaren, this list includes:

The portal will kick off with a two-week symposium from June 15 — June 30 on the topic of "What is Progressive Christianity?"
